What makes a Gin a Gin?

Ever wondered what makes a gin… well, a gin? Hint: it’s all about juniper — but not all juniper is created equal. Juniper is grown all over the world — Australian plantations are coming more to the market now, but traditionally it’s sourced from places like Macedonia, Algeria, Bulgaria, and other Middle European countries.

Each country produces berries with distinct flavours, with weather and soil conditions giving each berry its own unique character. These differences can have a big impact on the gin you’re creating and how it interacts with the other botanicals.

When creating our gin range, we experimented with a variety of berries to find the perfect fit for each spirit. The result? A line-up of six gins, each showcasing a different flavour profile:
